FROM NEIGHBORHOODS TO NATIONS

MAKING MORE AND BETTER DISCIPLES IN OUR CITY

Our goal is to minister to our local community. Standing with organizations with a focus to reach and help special needs in our community, we desire to help financially and by mobilizing church members to get involved in our city through various organizations.

Our conviction is that the church has been called to plant churches. We desire to plant churches in our city as well as help church planters in Boston, Portland and among the Chinese population in New York City.

Nations

MAKING MORE AND BETTER DISCIPLES IN THE NATIONS

God has called us to make disciples of all nations. Our hearts are burdened to see WCC have a part in reaching those with little or no access to the gospel.

By God's grace, we have sent dozens of missionaries out of our local body to serve in various cities across the world. We desire to continue partnerships with servants that are making disciples in the nations - planting churches or assisting churches in reaching their countries with the gospel of Christ.

Our church is regularly encouraged to have their passport ready to be mobilized and take part in a mission trip that we host throughout the year.
Our vision is to adopt a city that is located in an unreached area, that has no known workers (missionaries). We are praying that God would lead a family from WCC to go and reside in that city to reach people with the gospel.

THE COMMISSION

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

THE CONSIDERATION

For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” 14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”  (Romans 10:13-15)

THE CALL

“And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’ Then I said, ‘Here am I! Send me.'” (Isaiah 6:8)

Upcoming Events

GO Prayer Initiative

Because we believe that apart from prayer nothing of eternal value can be accomplished, we as a church we are committing ourselves to devoted, intentional intercession.

We will gather in the Prayer Room once a month on Sundays at 4:15-5:15PM to only seek the Lord together. Our purpose is to present ourselves before God on behalf of:

- Gospel workers we support serving around the world
- The unreached and those with little or no access to the gospel
- Open doors for the Word to advance
- More laborers to be sent into the harvest
- Our GO Year mission teams as they serve to make a lasting kingdom impact

As Paul asked the church to pray for open doors and bold proclamation, we also ask God to move powerfully in our day.

Come and devote yourself to prayer with us—trusting the Lord to open doors, transform hearts, and work through His Spirit in extraordinary ways.
